
Strengths Finder
In an effort to most effectively engage our team members in their communication with our client families and in the day-to-day operation of our business, The Advocate Group has committed to implementing the Gallup Study of Human Strengths; a rich database of information culled from intensive interviews with over 10 million people spanning 40 years.
The research was led by the Father of Strengths Psychology, Donald O. Clifton Ph.D. and then later refined by Tom Rath and published in his newly revised book: StrengthsFinder 2.0.
Internally, using the assessment to identify each team member’s strengths has been such a powerful tool that we have decided to invite our clients to share in the experience. It is our fondest desire to have each client invest 30 minutes to take the assessment and then join their strengths with their service team’s here at The Advocate Group. We believe that the assessment will enrich both the intra-family relationships of our clients and it will assist us in delivering information and managing projects in the most pleasing and effective manner possible for our clients. We desire to maximize the value of our combined efforts working on behalf of all clients.
For clarification and example, Gallup has found that an optimally performing team should be composed of individuals who possess dominant strength in each of four specific Domains of Leadership: Executing, Influencing, Relationship Building, and Strategic Thinking. Though individuals need not be well rounded across all four domains, teams should be in order to operate with maximal performance potential.
